April has arrived and we are underway with another Napowrimo challenge! You can find prompts on the official site - www.napowrimo.net

I will be posting my own prompts as well and include an extra one from my lucky dip jar of One Word Prompts!

I hope everyone enjoys, feels inspired and manages to get something from it ^_^ with that being said, here is my first prompt:

Day 1 - Declaratives

Welcome to another Napowrimo and our first prompt of the day. The first prompt I have for you is to write a poem where the title is the first line and a declarative sentence. A good example of this is Anthony Caleshu’s “A Dynamic Exchange Is Happening Between Us”. For an additional challenge, try to include the following words: burn, scribble, whip, confess, pray, shuffle.

It is March 31st.

Meaning tomorrow is the beginning of Napowrimo and the 30 poems in 30 days challenge of 2023!

I will be posting the prompts here and on my blog. I hope people enjoy and attempt some of the challenges in store.

Napowrimo Approaches

Ah, March.

A month of high winds, snow, people going positively barmy and a month long mental preparation/hair-tearing competition as we prepare for the 30 poems in 30 days challenge.

Last year I attempted to do more prompts for more months to engage some writer friends and while October was a hit, December was a strike out owed to abysmal mental health.

However, if this is anything to judge by, I tested out a new prompt for this year's challenge and... well, this happened:

Not perfect but there's something in it I feel. We'll see what happens come April.
