Day 5 - Rain

Today's effort does not come from the official site but instead from Writers Write. Cycling through the prompts, I saw one that said simply "Write a rain poem". And thus, here it is:

Storm
Hear your voice in the rain - 
a song from a million millon lips 
echoing against stone;
against metal;
against skin.

Hymn of all our secrets, 
spilled out into the open air.

A climax - cymbal crash 
as the front drives in; 
whisper becomes howl, 

an aria of your voice between
the drumbeat falling beneath 
canopy of clouds,
lonely and wanting.
